Mr. Dinesh Gupta, a seasoned and extensively travelled professional with over 36 years experience in Financial and Legal subjects is a distinguished Co-Founder of DSB Law Group. His expertise encompasses diverse areas including Business Advisory, Corporate and Legal advisory, Credit Derivatives, Risk Management, Financial Instrument structuring, Banking and NBFC regulations, Taxation Advisory.
As a Co-founder of DSB Law Group Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Gupta with his efficient team has played a pivotal role in shaping Firm’s identity to contribute as a one-stop solution hub for emerging Corporate. With a heritage of 58 years, the firm offers value-added business solutions ranging from process management, product structuring, organizational and capital restructuring to business valuation enhancement, cost management, corporate legal, taxation, internal and integrated audit, credit rating, and more. Mr. Gupta is instrumental in scaling up the Family Boutique Advisory firm founded by his father in 1965 Late Mr. K.M. Gupta, a renowned Lawyer and giving it new dimensions in various fields. Operating from offices in Delhi, Jalandhar, Jaipur, and Ludhiana, DSB Law Group has established a prominent name in the industry.
Mr. Gupta has in-depth experience on creating robust organizations from the ground up for the financial sector including NBFCs and Banks (Scheduled, Small Finance, Local Area and Cooperative). Mr. Gupta is known for his inborn talent to think differently, endowed with creativity, innovation and passion for technology.
He has been closely involved in the formation and setting up of Capital Local Area Bank Ltd, which became the largest Local Area Bank in the country. The Bank got converted to Capital Small Finance Bank Ltd. and became the 1st Small finance Bank to come into operation on April 24, 2016. Mr. Gupta is presently is promoter and Non-Executive Director of Capital Small Finance Bank. Mr. Gupta along with his dedicated team has been instrumental in the setting up and scaling up various NBFCs, MFIs, Insurance intermediaries and Tech Startups.
Mr. Dinesh Gupta is an Advisor on the board of State Cooperative Banks, many Urban Cooperative Banks, NBFCs and other companies. He is widely recognized for his in-depth understanding of the NBFCs, Banking, Housing Finance Companies in India and is called upon to consult on the subject across India. In fact, he had been retained for Market Intelligence by National Housing Bank.
He is a specialized faculty and trainer to Banks and NBFCs on varied subjects. He is faculty to the orientation and training programmes of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and various Colleges and Management Institutions and at various workshops and seminars.
Beyond his professional commitments, he dedicates time to career counselling for students, empowering MSME for achieving scale and enhancing the value for family-owned businesses.
Mr. Dinesh Gupta remained Charter Chairman of Jalandhar Satellite Chapter of NIRC of ICSI. The Chapter under his stewardship had organized mega seminars and workshops of topical interest for students, academicians, professionals. He is the Chairman of charitable NGO Raj Krishan Foundation which is involved in fostering education for needy students and health care to the poor. He is also the Secretary of Hamco Charitable Trust, and was instrumental in introducing free computer education to the needy rural children. Additionally, Mr. Gupta’s involvement as the Secretary of Capital Foundation a dedicated NGO committed for CSR activities, President of Empower Youth Foundation, and Trustee of Edumust underlines his commitment to education and social welfare.
Mr. Dinesh Gupta is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and a rank holder Law Graduate from Guru Nanak Dev University. He is also qualified Lean Six Sigma consultant.
Kalyana Chakravarthy
Kalyana Chakravarthy holds Masters degree in Management from Maharishi Institute of Management, New York, USA and also pursuing LLB degree. He had close to 2 decades of work experience in financial sector out of which 15 years he was associated with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance holding positions across Group, Pension, Legal, Corporate Agency & Broker departments. In his last assignment with ICICI Prudential, He was heading the company’s product development team as Vice President. Since 2017, Kalyana Chakravarthy has been working in start-up arena. As an entrepreneur, he along with 4 others founded a logistics start-up company called ‘Load share’ which raised successfully 3 rounds of funding with a latest valuation of close to $60Mn. Apart from this he has been associate with two other startup companies in the Edutech space with one company offering Digital Content and assessment platform for K-12 segment of students and the other one working towards imparting coding essentials for students from 6th class onwards. Through these startups, over 500 schools across India & Middle East are transforming the future generations in adaptive learning methods.
Shant Kumar Gupta
Mr. Shant Kumar Gupta, Post graduate in Economics and a businessman by profession is Chairman and Promoter of renowned ‘HAMCO GROUP’ engaged in Manufacturing and trading of Iron and Steel and Hand tools. He is a Director of S.R. Impex Ltd., Vill Dhogri, Jalandhar (Mfg of power cables). He is also very active on the social front and is Founder Chairman of ‘Hamco Charitable Trust’, an NGO involved in imparting free computer education to poor and needy students with an objective to bring them at par with their counterparts. More than 400 students have already been benefited through this Project.
Parveen Kumar Gupta
Mr. Gupta has vast experience in the banking sector of over 37 years. He retired as managing director, retail and digital banking, from State Bank of India (“SBI”) and held various positions in the “SBI Group” including managing director, compliance and risk, SBI, whole-time director, SBI, managing director and chief executive officer, SBI Capital Markets Ltd, deputy managing director and chief financial officer, global markets, SBI, deputy chief executive officer, SBI-MACQUARIE Infra. Mgmt. (P) LTD., and chief general manager, global markets, SBI. Further, He is currently Part Time Non-Executive Chairman of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, and Director on the Board of Hiranandani Financial Services Private Limited, BOI AXA Investment Managers Private Limited, Light Microfinance Private Limited and Growth Source Financial Technologies P Ltd. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Guru Nanak Dev University and is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is also a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He was a member of the expert committee on Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, headed by Mr. U.K. Sinha, former Chairman of the SEBI, constituted by RBI.
